"World denim looks to China, and Chinese denim looks to Xintang." Xintang Town in Zengcheng District, Guangzhou, an important denim production base in China. At the peak of its business, about one in every three pairs of jeans in the world came from Xintang; more 60% of the denim clothing in the country was made in Xintang; and 40% of the denim clothing exported from the country came fromintang. Data shows that as of 2023, Xintang has 1,968 denim textile and apparel enterprises, including 15 large enterprises, and more than 1,000 registered denim clothing brands; in 2023, the output value of the Xintang clothing cluster exceeded 10 billion yuan.
